Privacy Policy — YouTube playlist length calculator

Last updated: March 30, 2026. This policy describes how this site processes information.

What you submit

When you submit a playlist URL, that input is sent to our servers to call the YouTube Data API. Do not submit private links or secrets in the URL field.

Server logs

Hosting providers typically store technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability. Retention depends on your host’s policy.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising tags

Core calculator features do not require marketing cookies. When enabled in site configuration, we may load Google Analytics 4 (usage and traffic metrics), Microsoft Clarity (aggregated heatmaps and session replay), and Google AdSense (ads). Those services may use cookies or similar storage; see Google's Privacy Policy and Microsoft's Privacy Statement. If none of these tools is configured, those scripts are not loaded.

Your choice (consent)

On your first visit, we ask whether to allow optional measurement and advertising scripts (when configured). We use Google Consent Mode defaults (denied) until you accept, then update consent before loading Google tags. Your choice is stored in browser local storage (not on our servers) under a dedicated key. You can open Cookie preferences in the site footer to change it. If you withdraw consent after allowing those scripts, we reload the page so previously loaded scripts are cleared.

Third parties

Requests to YouTube are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

Advertising

If we display ads (for example through Google AdSense), Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show personalized or non-personalized ads, including based on your activity on this site or others. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings where available. When AdSense is enabled in our configuration, the same cookie banner and Google Consent Mode flow that governs analytics also gates the ad script until you opt in. Operators targeting the EU/EEA/UK may still need a certified CMP or additional controls beyond this banner to meet all regulatory expectations.
